it's funny, the speaker-portion notes they sound flat and bass-less. So i pulled up my s23 ultra for comparison, and they measure VERY closely, yet the review for the Ultra raves about the speakers. i wonder why? (for real, I'm curious how reliable the subjective impressions are vs the measurements)
Jbro, 28 Apr 2023Why the "4star" rating? This phone basically falls short in every key category. Not ... moreBecause they are propaganda business. You really think they would get sponsors if they talk truth about scam & spy devices?
I love Blackberry phones
Anonymous, 28 Apr 20232021 flagship performance? SD SM7325 CPU and Adreno 642L was never a flagship spec lol It's around QSD 860 performance, or slightly ahead of the QSD 855 and slightly behind the QSD 870. There's been many flagship devices released with the QSD 870. Also the QSD 888, QSD 888+ and QC 8g1 are flawed chipsets that thermal throttle bringing their performance down to QSD 855 levels.
The QSD 778/780G were never flagship chipsets on-paper/in-theory... but in-practice or real-world conditions you couldn't tell the difference. Just like how people cannot tell the difference between a $300 bottle of wine and a $3,000 bottle of wine.
Anyways, this BlackView BV9200 looks like an embarrassing product, the 1.5 Year Old Samsung xCover 5 is the same price and the better buy, and the new Samsung xCover 6 Pro is more expensive yet that's even better value.
Love my Blackview. It's so tough that I've been known to use it as a hammer.

Kangal, 28 Apr 2023Not sure why in this review, at the end/alternatives section, the GSMArena Team forgot to ment... moreWell, becouse Xcover 6 pro is 50-60% more expencive, they are not in the same category. Xcover 5 is over two years older, so you can't compare it to this Blackview. It would be like, iPhone 12 pro max is better than Galaxy s23 ultra, becouse it's cheaper...
Have use this phone about 2 weeks.
Phone works ok! But there are two things I found wrong:
1. After each simple restart or phone turning on shows message "System manager Error".
2. There is no Settings menu item "Tap to wake" anywhere! When I start typing "double tap to wake..." in search windows, this option appears in search results (see picture below), but after tapping on it - opens Screen setting menu and there is no this menu item as well as in any other Settings menu! So, finally, there is no possibility to wake up the phone by tapping the screen!
Not sure why in this review, at the end/alternatives section, the GSMArena Team forgot to mention the Samsung xCover 6 Pro. It comes with 4-Year Software Updates and longer for Security Updates. Has a 2021 level flagship performance. Has a great screen which won't have burn-in issues. Also has a friggin User Removable Battery.
It's basically the best phone of 2022, if you care for features.
And it's sturdy, built to last at least 5 years out in the field for actual work. If it's a budget discrepancy, there's still the Samsung xCover 5, which is the same as the 6 Pro, except the 120Hz screen and Processor Speed, yet it's for sale at the same budget as the BlackView BV9200. Honestly that's the better option, since it has the better battery life, performance, display, camera, and 2-Years Software Updates... even though it's 1.5 years old at this point (hence the discounts).
Why the "4star" rating? This phone basically falls short in every key category. Not the best screen ruggedness, bad panel, horrible color accuracy, bad battery life, nothing to write home about for cameras, abysmal chipset, etc. With other ruggeds out with at minimum 2 day batteries, this is just a no.
No headphone jack? Well I suppose they couldn't fit it into this massive, ugly, thick phone. This is a meme of a rugged phone and this fairly positive review further proves why "expert" opinion are worthless
Maybe GSMArena can review the other one Doogee V Max
With that forehead, it shouldn't even need a notch..
Wow, that's pretty bad. I expected much more from this phone. Battery life is mediocre to say the least and G96 doesn't seem to perform well.
85 hours is basically a deal breaker for this type of phone. You're most likely being outdoors with limited source of power, it needs at least 150 hours to be reliable.
