Great compressor
It works on the master bus just fine. I have tried many different famous modulations. This one works very well. I use the demo version, I will definitely buy it.

I have all the UAD compressors and if I had to choose just one, this would be it. I used it recently on a restoration project and it turned audio blobs into music. Thumbs up.

Fantastic bus compressor.
Want that final mix glue? this is the one for you. I'm lucky enough to have used a real SSL bus compressor and this plugin reminds me of it every day.

works exceptionally well on drums. The EQ is very musical. I highly recommend it

Great on Main Mix
I put the SSL4000E on the backing tracks channel when I play live performances. A little light compression, a few db's of 10k, it adds a certain something that I think is sweet beyond brightening things up with the 10k EQ small change. Makes things sound bigger, punchier, and a nice clarity is the best way I can explain it that I haven't been able to achieve in other ways with other plugins.

I’ve worked on a lot of actual SSLs, and this collection of plug-ins nails every nuance. I particularly love the channel strip for drums, and bus comp on the drum bus or master. Awesome
