I recently purchased the MK1, and now there is a MK2? These things are expensive. on top of that, i cannot re-sell the plugins. I'm not happy with this. I've spent close to thousand of dollars in plugins alone, and now i cannot resell them. I had to purchase the autotune twice? once the bad looking interface, now this.

not for Live-Rack
not for all Universal Audio hardware. Live-Rack users still have to work with a very old software and this plugin does not run. Don´t buy.

Live-Rack-Users DON´T BUY!
As Universal Audio is not updating the Live-Rack-Software for too long, this plugin doesn´t run on Live-Rack. I am very upset about this.

This compressor gives a smooth and soft sound. It gives the transients a round figure in the topp end ! Not so harch sounding. Very nice...

An amazing piece of software, I wish I could push it into saturation like the real one but nonetheless it is clean and does its job quite well.

Way too aggressive and the GUI is too damn colossal
Compared to v1 this comp is WAY too aggressive. I don’t know what went wrong but v1 is way more smooth.
And that GUI isn’t cutting it. Sorry, but not sorry.

Huge improvement!!!!!
I have been using the original for years now almost exclusively on bass guitar with amazing results, but this new update provides more detail and clarity to the compressor. Well worth the update.

The best optical compressor...ever?
This is by far my favourite optical compressor model. People go gaga over the classic sounds of LA2As, but for me the flexibility, and nuance of this thing make it the modern classic. The top end is silky, and the low end smooth without losing any punch. Try it on piano if you need convincing. If you can only afford one opto, get this one.

No side chain
For a software compressor it sounds good but there‘s no sidechain available on the UA platform which generally makes UAD an inferior choice for compressors. I hope that they’ll get this fixed one day
