UA Compressors
Yep! Bags of character. Squishy and warm with genuinely valvey tone. Great on drums and vocals. Quite extreme if you want. Nice results from attack and release settings.

Nice tone and vibe
I've only had these two compressors for a short while and already I'm seeing their potential usage in my future projects. I don't like to compress distorted guitars too much in the mix but I used the 176 on a guitar bus and it gave the tracks an added lift to an already good tone and I was surprised by this!.. I think these two compressors are a nice alternative to the usual 1176 (which I love...especially the 1176AE), and they have a nice tone & retro vibe which is cool. I'm looking forward to using these more and more in the future. Thanks again Universal Audio!

LE compresseur que je cherchais: on le pousse au bout de ses capacités pour découvrir la puissance et la chaleur de ce plugin pouvant être clean ou dirty ou on le laisse tranquillement chauffer le son.
Il fait partie intégrante de mes tracks ne serait-ce que pour coloré. il arrive à donner vie à des pistes un peu mornes.

Warm sound
These sound good. Sound great. Warm things up. I have more compressor plugins than is healthy, and these get used a disproportionate amount. Not 5 stars because of some functionality things, like no option to have input and output knobs move simultaneously. But the sound? Can't fault that at all.

Perhaps we all have too many compressors, but I find these sufficiently interesting and unique to change things up using them. Universal audio originally made these in hardware form, so it's fitting that I use them in this future world of software.
